Advocating for Choice

Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) is now a legal option in every Australian State and from November 2025 the ACT, for eligible adults suffering from a terminal illness.  Yet research has shown many people remain unaware of their end of life options.  This site provides links to some of the most reliable end-of-life planning guidance, VAD information and VAD support organisations.

You will also find links to the "Nightshift" podcast where host Suzanne James discusses VAD with a variety of professionals, lay advocates and representtives from organisations like Dying With Dignity, and service providers such as End-of-Life Doulas.  This site also includes an archive of her previously published articles about VAD nationally.

This is a volunteer VAD advocate community information site.  This site itself has no charitable status and no financial or fundraising factor.  It exists purely to provide lnks to the most reliable available information on VAD and support organisations (some of which are registered charities or service providers) and to raise public awareness about VAD through subscription-free podcasts and articles.
